Mount Pleasant and Columbia Heights are part of vibrant, culturally diverse Ward 1, DC’s most densely populated ward. Many Ward 1 residents and visitors get around by walking, rolling, riding scooters, taking transit, and biking. To help residents continue getting around safely, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) needs to step up the pace of building better transportation connections — especially for bikes.
