    Further Community Bike Initiatives

    Many people in Mount Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Adams Morgan and surrounding neighborhoods bike – to get around, to commute to work, to get to school, for shopping, to exercise and so on.

    Bike-related initiatives set up by neighbors and others in our community include:

    • Every Friday morning, at 8:15am, the Bancroft Bike Bus leaves from Bar Del Monte on Mt Pleasant St NW for a ride around the neighborhood on the way to the Bancroft Elementary School.
    • On Saturdays, between 10:00am and 1:00pm at the Mt Pleasant Farmers’ Market, the Mount Pleasant Bike Clinic helps cyclists with maintaining their bikes: performing bike repairs, providing advice and teaching about bike maintenance.
